Service Overview
Architectural and Large Venue Acoustics
Well designed acoustics in large spaces are a critical part of achieving quality sound. No doubt a quality sound system handles 40% of the perceived quality of the sound in a large room or any room for that matter; however acoustics takes the majority 70% in terms of its influence on the final perceived sound quality in larger spaces. The ratio is often touted as 50/50, but in large halls long reverberation times leads to poor speech intelligibility and thundering uneven bass bouncing off walls and lingering ruining the next incoming sound. Armad simulates the venue to support acoustic design principles and to calculate needed absorption values for the given room. Armad brings down reverberation times according to best practices with a combination of absorption, diffusion and redirection of reflections. Armad’s team with in-house graphic designers work with the original aesthetic design of the venue providing an acoustic solution to the walls, ceiling, above stage and wherever necessary to achieve good sound and achieve the accepted reverberation times for the venue type.
Larger Venue Acoustic Service Overview

3. Collaborating with designers: Starts working with designers to provide a handful of options for a specific part or the entire venue in one go as a solution to the sound issues analyzed from the measurement or simulation.
4. Finalising with designers: Designers finalise the acoustic principled design according to Armad consultation and owners aesthetic considerations.
5. Building Stage: Designers pass on design to builders to build the panels or specific design on walls, ceilings etc.
